Terms and Conditions

To secure your Wedding date with Joanne Hook Makeup a non-refundable retainer fee of £120.00 will be required to secure your booking and will be deducted from your final wedding day balance.  If you have not paid your £120.00 retainer fee to reserve your wedding date, then that date remains available to the next client.  

At least one additional Artist/Assistant will be needed for bookings consisting of 5 or more services, or if time constraints mean I am unable to carry out all services in appropriate time frame. These are priced at £80.00 per assistant.  

A minimum fee of £350 is required when booking your wedding day, including Bride only bookings.  

A fee will be charged for locations outside of a 10 mile travel radius of BN2 5PH. The amount charged is currently 45p per mile. 

All costs for travel to a booked event outside of a 10 miles radius are to be paid by the client. Costs may include, but not limited to: airfare, hotel, transportation, toll charges and parking.  

An invoice for the balance of fees will be sent 2 weeks before the date of the event, unless the event is in less than 2 weeks’ time in which case it will be sent immediately after the booking has been secured.  

Full payment of the balance of the Fee is required 1 week before the Event at the latest, if the Event is less than 1 week away full payment is required to secure the booking. There are no exceptions to this. 

Payment can be accepted via bank transfer or PayPal.  Bookings are only confirmed once the funds have cleared in the Company’s bank account.  

 Cancellations by the Client for a wedding service that are received less than 4 weeks before the start of the service incurs the full cost of the booking.  Cancellations received before this time will not incur any cost and any payments made, other than for trial sessions, and initial retainer fee will be refunded within 7 days of the cancellation. 

Cancellations are only valid if received via email to jo@joannehookmakeup.com 

If any services are deducted from the booking within 1 month of the wedding date the total price will not change.  

If additional services to the original booking are required these are to be requested by email to jo@joannehookmakeup.com . These are not guaranteed and may incur an additional fee to the set service fee due to extra artist/assistant 

Maximum time allocation for trials: the maximum time that Joanne can spend on any one trial is 2 hours for a makeup or hair booking and 3 hours for a makeup and hair booking. Any additional time required for trial sessions will have to be booked as a repeat trial. 

Repeat trials: If a second makeup and/or hair trial are requested the same fee applies as for the first trial.  

Individual lashes: individual lash application is included in the price for the makeup service, there is no reduction in price for any makeup service if they are declined.  

If additional person/s will be attending the trial along with the Client, the Company is to be informed at the booking stage to ensure everyone can be comfortably accommodated.  

A suitable space ideally with good lighting is required on the event date for the Company to work. Including table/bench with power sockets and a chair and or stool.  

It is the client’s responsibility to inform the Company before the booked date of any sensitivities/allergies or conditions that may affect any member of the booked party receiving makeup application.  The Company cannot be held liable for any reactions/allergies to products used.  

The Company can refuse the application of makeup if any contagious skin, scalp or eye conditions are present.  

Joanne Hook Makeup Artistry is fully insured by The Beauty Guild and has full public liability insurance to protect both herself and the client.

Please let me know if you do not want to be photographed or you are not happy for me to use your images for marketing purposes.  

Service(s): Any of the services provided by the Company, as listed under the “Services” menu on the Home page of this website. 

Client: The main recipient of the Service(s) 

Company: Joanne Hook Makeup 

Agreement: The agreement between the Client and the Company, confirmed by email, for provision of the Service(s) 

Fee: The amount payable by the Client to the Company for the Service(s) in the Agreement.
